Napoli have rejected reports linking Marek Hamsik with a move to Paris Saint-Germain by insisting he’ll soon sign a new deal with them.

The Slovakian international is being paired with Paris SG by reports in France, but the Italian club maintain he is going nowhere.

“Hamsik will soon renew his contract with us,” stated Azzurri President Aurelio De Laurentiis on Thursday afternoon.

“He’s a really important player. There are, at best, only three other players like him in the whole of Europe.

“Everyone wants him, but he’s staying here.”

The 24-year-old is presently tied to the Stadio San Paolo outfit until June 2015, but it is expected that he’ll soon be presented with a new improved deal which will run until 2016.

The attacking midfielder, linked with Milan last summer, joined Napoli in 2007 after a €5.5m fee was agreed with Brescia.
