The agent of Inter’s Alex Telles says he was wanted by Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Porto, but Roberto Mancini convinced him.

The left-back arrived from Galatasaray in the summer on loan with the option to buy, and agent Fernando Otto confirmed that the Nerazzurri will buy him outright.

He also revealed that the San Siro giants warded off fierce competition from several European giants for the 22-year-old, thanks to Coach Mancio.

He also revealed that the San Siro giants warded off fierce competition from several European giants for the 22-year-old, thanks to Coach Mancio.

“Alex is doing well, he missed the last two games for different reasons,” Otto said to FcInterNews.

“After the game at Palermo he had a small physical problem, while the exclusion against Roma came only from a technical decision by the Coach.

“Alex, like I said, is fine and is very happy at Inter. It’s an honour for him to work with Mancini and Sylvinho.

“He's learning a lot from both of them. He has a great relationship with the Coach, he wanted him when he was at Gremio.

“He obviously must improve, for example from the physical point of view, but everything is going well.

“He could play against Torino, but the decision will be up to the Coach.

"We can’t yet know when the buyout clause will be exercised. What I can say is that he will be bought without doubt, but on the timing I can’t say.

“It wasn’t only PSG who were interested in the summer. There were also Real Madrid and Porto, but Galatasaray initially didn’t consider a loan.

“Then Inter came in, and the presence of Mancini made the difference.

"Brazil and Italy are two important national teams. What is certain is that playing in a great team like Inter, Alex will have lots of chances to get a call-up.

“If then it will be Brazil or Italy…we'll see. You can choose the national team that makes you feel more important.”
