Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly targeting Inter’s Mauro Icardi to replace the outgoing Edinson Cavani this summer.

Sport Mediaset reports that former Napoli striker Cavani is set to leave the French capital at the end of the season, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic possibly following.

The outlet believes that Nerazzurri owner Erick Thohir’s trip to watch Tuesday’s Champions League clash between PSG and Chelsea wasn’t just a courtesy visit.

The report says that Thohir discussed transfer strategy with PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi and that talks for Icardi’s possible switch may have begun.

With Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid unobtainable targets, Mediaset believes that Icardi has emerged as the Ligue 1 side’s primary objective.
