“Of course there is concern when facing a strong opponent who started the season very well and slowed down, but remains fearsome,” Marotta told Mediaset Premium.

“We consider this group to be the best under the Andrea Agnelli era, but we won’t settle, as we are looking around for more new players.

“There’s no lack of options, as the appeal of Juve has increased and players are more likely to come to a club with a strong brand.”

Bayern Munich Coach Guardiola said this week Bonucci was one of his favourite players. Does that worry Juventus?

“No, if anything it makes us proud. However, Juventus don’t let players go unless they want to leave. We only just renewed Bonucci’s contract over the summer, he is very fond of us and there’s no particular reason for his departure.

“Obviously the appreciation of a Coach like Guardiola is something to be proud of for us and the player.”

Once again, Marotta was asked about Max Allegri’s future.

“It happens every week now… There is no Allegri problem. He has a contract and there’s no need to think about anything else.”
