Salvatore Sirigu will start in goal rather than Gianluigi Donnarumma, while Leonardo Bonucci and Domenico Criscito could be rested in favour of Mattia Caldara and Mattia De Sciglio.

Bryan Cristante of Atalanta and Fiorentina starlet Federico Chiesa could get starts.

France swept Ireland aside 2-0 and stick with their 4-3-3 formation under Coach Didier Deschamps, who is warming up for the World Cup.

Antoine Griezmann and Paul Pogba are expected to come back in to the starting XI, having been substitutes in that game, with the Atletico Madrid forward and Kylian Mbappé regularly switching positions to confuse opposition defenders.

Full-backs Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez are also urged to push forward.

Probable line-ups

France: Lloris; Pavard, Rami, Umtiti, Lucas Hernandez; Tolisso, Kanté, Pogba; Griezmann, Mbappé, Dembélé

Italy: Sirigu; Zappacosta, Caldara, Romagnoli, De Sciglio; Pellegrini, Jorginho, Cristante; Chiesa, Balotelli, Insigne
