Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta look to Ruslan Malinovskyi and Jeremie Boga against Fabio Quagliarella’s Sampdoria.

It kicks off at 19.50 UK time.

Atalanta are without the suspended Merih Demiral and Berat Djimsiti so 18-year-old Giorgio Scalvini could start the second Serie A game in his career.

Duvan Zapata and Josip Ilic remain out of action, while Luis Muriel and Aleksey Miranchuk could be called-up after but are not expected to start. Atalanta won four of the last six matches against Sampdoria and there has been just one 0-0 in Bergamo in the last 13 meetings between these two teams. Atalanta have won just one of the last four Serie A games after winning the previous six in a row.

Jeremie Boga will once again start in attack. He scored his first Serie A goal against Sampdoria in 2019 but hasn’t found the net in the last 16 league matches.

Sampdoria are without the suspended Antonio Candreva and Bartosz Bereszynski. Askildsen, Mikkel Damnsgaard and Manolo Gabbiadini are injured. Stefano Sensi returns to action. Sebastian Giovinco has been called up but is unlikely to play his first Serie A game in more than seven years as he is still recovering from a calf injury. Fabio Quagliarella and Francesco Caputo will feature in the Blucerchiati’s attack.

Quagliarella has scored 12 goals against Atalanta in Serie A. He has managed more only against Fiorentina (13). However, he scored his last away goal in May 2021 (against Udinese).
