There are strong reports that new Coach Andrea Stramaccioni will adopt a 4-3-3 system for his debut, which includes bringing Zarate back for a rare start.
“I am very worried by the prospect of facing Zarate. He is a devastating player if used in a certain way out wide,” said Preziosi on Sky Sport Italia.
“I’d sign Zarate in a heartbeat for Genoa, even if he preferred to join Inter despite our interest in him. He hasn’t yet proved he is strong in terms of character, but he’s certainly more worrying as an opponent than Diego Forlan.
“When there is a change of Coach, it always adds extra motivation to the squad. It can well be a negative thing for us that Claudio Ranieri was removed this week.
“Stramaccioni is young and needs time to show what he can do. I don’t believe in just waving a magic wand and suddenly fixing everything, as when you start a season badly it’s tough even for a genie to put it back on track.
“Even if they don’t reach the Champions League, Inter have done well to hand the bench to a youngster who can have this opportunity to express himself. Stramaccioni will also be allowed to field a few younger players, which Ranieri would not have been forgiven for doing.
“In any case, I predict Genoa will win 4-1!”
