Serie A has been looking at the different hypotheses to resume play, but the coronavirus pandemic has not been beaten and the Rossoblu patron has pointed out that life needs to get back to normal in Italy before they can think about restarting Serie A.

“First we have to resume normality, then we can play the games,” he told La Stampa. “It’s not a priority, but we must talk about it.

“Because it is a company and it is in difficulty, like everything else. We will have to stay still until May 3, I don’t know what will happen then.

“At this moment, people’s health matters. People are not in the right frame of mind to talk about football, you can’t rejoice in football when you face such a tragedy.

He went on to suggest that the season might not be concluded and will not prioritise football over other businesses.

“It can be cancelled, if they don’t find other solutions. Health comes first. We will have to go back to normal, then we can think about football games. Does it seem possible that the shops will remain closed and we play football?”
