Italy boss Cesare Prandelli has claimed that managing his nation at a World Cup would be 'a dream', in an interview with Rai Sport.

The 55-year-old led the Azzurri to the Final of Euro 2012, but has admitted that he has a lot more enthusiasm now than he did after the resounding loss to Spain in Kiev.

“It is an adventure,” he told the state broadcaster. “We are there to win all our games in the World Cup qualifiers, starting tonight against Bulgaria.

“This may be an interim period between the European Championships and Brazil, but I'm not worried – my squad is full of quality players.

“I have a lot more enthusiasm now, and to get to the World Cup is everyone's dream.”

Italy have been drawn in Group B alongside Bulgaria, Denmark, Czech Republic, Armenia and Malta.
