Former Italy CT Cesare Prandelli confirms “I want to go back” to Serie A, admitting he should never have gone abroad.

The former Fiorentina Coach left the Azzurri after going out at the Group Stage in the 2014 World Cup, and his career has stalled since.

He has failed to reach 20 games at Galatasaray, Valencia and Al-Nasr since leaving the national team, and now wants to rebuild his reputation back home.

“After the foreign experiences I want to go back to Italy,” Prandelli confirmed in an interview with RMC Sport.

“I’ll evaluate every decision. There was never anything with Udinese. It was pleasantly surprised to be linked with a bench like that, but we never had any contact.

“After the World Cup i tried to forget everything, but with hindsight it would have been right to stay in Italy and take advantage of my opportunities.”
