It has been widely reported today that the 56-year-old tactician has extended his deal until 2016, though official confirmation from the Federcalcio is still to come through.

“Prandelli is a great Coach who can get more important results with Italy,” Zoff told Itasportpress.it.

“The agreement until 2016 is an important sign from the Federation.

“Now everything depends on the results and what happens in Brazil.”

The former Juventus” data-scaytid=”9″>Juventus goalkeeper was then asked whether he would take Francesco Totti to football’s showpiece event.

“I would only take him if he is fit,” he said. “I am only referring to physical condition because if he is at his best then it’s an added bonus.”
