Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli thanked his players for the performance against Torino, as the Viola drew 1-1 despite playing with nine men for 20 minutes.

Gaetano Castrovilli was sent off after 61 minutes, but Franck Ribery and Giacomo Bonaventura combined to give the Viola the lead.

But Nikola Milenkovic was then sent off with 20 minutes to play, clashing heads with Andrea Belotti, who later equalised for the Granata.

Prandelli didn’t want to comment on the decisions and focused on the performance from his players.

“With nine men it becomes complicated but I have to thank my players, they fought to bring home a great performance,” Prandelli said in the post-match interview with Sky Sport Italia.

“Fears go away with the performances and continuity thanks to a group of guys who know how to sacrifice themselves.

“The incidents then affected the game. The judgement I can give on the red cards would be biased, I have never commented on refereeing decisions.

“At this moment, I ask above all for performances, I don’t start with the idea of playing well. In today’s football these are more games within the match, sometimes we should attack and other times defend, but always with consistency.

“We did well and in my opinion we deserved to win.”
