Cesare Prandelli has revealed he spoke to Roberto Mancini before taking the Galatasaray job and also discussed his code of ethics.

The 56-year-old was presented as the Turkish giants’ new Coach today at a Press conference and revealed that compartriot Mancini, who was his predecessor at the club, had only good things to tell him.

“Did I talk to Mancini? Yes, he spoke well of the team and the city,” Prandelli told the gathered media.

“He said to me that he was very happy here, that he found an organised club and that his experience was very positive.

“He said to me that there are quality people at the club.

“Mancini arrived here during the season and he did well. He went from eighth and finished second and won the Cup.”

Prandelli then went on to say that without certain rules, a team is unable to function properly.

“Without rules a team cannot win anything. No one can think about themselves. There will be rules that will enable everyone to have a reference.

“When we decide to do something, we will all decide it together. No one can think about it from a personal point of view.

“When you think about Galatasaray you need to think about a team and not about a person.”
