Cesare Prandelli has denied links with Tottenham Hotspur and has reiterated that if he doesn’t continue with Italy, he’ll take a break this summer.

The CT is currently in talks with the Italian Football Federation to extend his contract beyond the World Cup in Brazil.

Whilst speculation in recent weeks has been of a deal being reached, rumours continue to link the 56-year-old with club positions for next season.

One such link is with Tottenham, to replace Tim Sherwood as Coach and reunite with friend Franco Baldini, who works at the London club as technical director.

“Baldini works for Tottenham so they say I might go there,” Prandelli has reflected on BBC World Service this week.

“ Maybe in some years he'll work for a third division Italian team and they'll say I'll manage that side!

“If we find an agreement with the FIGC we'll go on together, otherwise I'll take a break – I won't strike an agreement with any club.

“The extraordinary thing is that, for the first time, the FIGC is offering me a contract renewal regardless of what happens at the World Cup.

“This has never happened before and maybe it's a sign that times are changing for the better.”
