Italy boss Cesare Prandelli has rejected claims that he’s asked the Lega Serie A to bring forward the end of the season.

“We’ve never asked the Lega to end the championship sooner,” the tactician noted. “Or even change some of the dates. It never even entered my head.

“I’m sorry that this has caused controversy that is not there, it should not exist.

“The only thing I have asked is to have, one month before the Finals, at least 30 players for a series of physical exams.

“I’m talking about a day, a day and a half where they would not even touch a football…”
