Inter winger Matteo Politano admits he has been ‘struck by a bit of everything’ at his new club.

Politano was one of several players signed by the Nerazzurri during the close-season, and the former Sassuolo attacker assured he was not far away from hitting peak fitness.

“It’s going very well. The Coach makes us train a lot, but it’s right that we work like this because it lets you find yourself during the season,” he told Inter TV.

“It’s going very well. The Coach makes us train a lot, but it’s right that we work like this because it lets you find yourself during the season,” he told Inter TV.

“The Coach makes us work hard, especially with the ball and on tactics. I’ve been very well received by everyone and I’m happy with how these first days have gone.

“I really want to go out on the pitch. The fans write to me all the time and I can’t wait to celebrate with them.

“Anything struck me in particular? A bit of everything, the way I’ve been received, the work we’re doing, the structures in place…

“Here, everything is beautiful and there are the conditions for us to do well. How long will it take for me to reach 100 percent? Not long.

“Maybe I suffer during the winter when the pitches are heavy, but now I feel good physically and mentally. I can’t wait to play.”
