Mediaset believe that Juventus and Paul Pogba are all but signed off on a new contract for the Frenchman until June 2019.

The midfielder, his agent and the club indicated that amid Juve’s refusal to sell him this summer, talks over a new contract were in the pipeline, with speculation over a new deal to boost his salary above the €4m mark.

Whilst recent weeks have seen rumours and comment split over the progress and direction of such negotiations, Sportmediaset today are running the line that an agreement has been reached.

They report that Pogba has indeed committed to a new five-year contract to see him through to the end of June 2019, and that his salary will be more than doubled from its €1.5m rate up to the previously mentioned €4m.

The report suggests that confirmation of this agreement is due imminently.
