Lukas Podolski insists his Inter career has gotten off to a postive start and ‘all that’s missing is a goal’.

The German joined the Nerazzurri on loan from Arsenal in the January transfer window, but has yet to score for the club, and was criticised by Coach Roberto Mancini after the defeat to Fiorentina.

“I have no problems when the media and other people criticise me,” Podolski insisted in an interview with Sport1.

“I have no problems when the media and other people criticise me,” Podolski insisted in an interview with Sport1.

“I know how it works. What’s important is knowing where you need to improve. The first part of the season [at Arsenal] was very difficult, I couldn’t find any rhythm.

“My performances so far [for Inter] have been positive, all that’s missing is a goal, and I hope that will come soon.

“It’s not something you can do by just flicking a switch. In every game I play I want to contribute a good performance and a goal, but that hasn’t happened yet.

“You can always argue: ‘Oh, if he’d hit it the other way it would have been better’, but not necessarily, it could also be worse.”
