Mauricio Pochettino praised Inter hitman Lautaro Martinez as “one of the best strikers in the world, not just for what he does, but his potential.”

The 22-year-old has scored 16 goals in 31 competitive games for Inter so far this season, along with four assists.

He is already a regular for the Argentina international squad, contributing nine goals in 17 senior caps.

“Lautaro Martinez is one of the best strikers in the world,” former Tottenham Hotspur manager Pochettino told Radio La Plata.

Lautaro Martinez has been heavily linked with Barcelona, although Real Madrid and Manchester City are also known to be interested.

The Nerazzurri paid €25m to sign him from Racing Club in the summer of 2018 and he now has a release clause worth €111m.
