Tragedy at Serie D side Tuttocuoio, as forward Federico Zini was found dead with his ex-girlfriend after a suspected murder-suicide.
The striker was due to turn 25 tomorrow and she was 29.
It’s reported he went to visit his former girlfriend Elisa Amato in Prato and tried to convince her to get back together.
When she refused, it’s alleged they had a row in the street outside her home, neighbours heard gunshots and called the police. A car then drove away, as he apparently took her body to the place where he would then commit suicide.

The pair were found in his car near to the sports centre in San Minato, near Pisa.
Zini had a well-travelled career, including spells in Malta, Bulgaria, the Philippines and Mongolia.
