The Croatian winger has joined the Viola on a €2m loan with a €20m option to buy, having spent two seasons with the Turin giants.

“It was a long negotiation but I wanted to come here from the start and I’m glad it’s happened,” Pjaca said at his presentation.

“I can’t wait to start playing. I will give everything to do well here and get good results this season

“I'm ready, and I think form will come with matches, I can not say how many I will need.

“I was hoping to come here from the first day and now that I'm here, I'm happy.

“The number 10 shirt? First of all it’s an honour, but also a responsibility.I want to show everyone that I deserve to wear it.”

Pjaca joins from the Viola’s most bitter rivals, would he celebrate if he scored against his parent club?

“I don’t know, first I’ll have to score and then I’ll think about it.

“A return to Juve? Now I’m a Fiorentina player and I’m just thinking about having a great season. We’ll see what happens after that.”

The move means Pjaca won’t get to play with Cristiano Ronaldo…

“I definitely thought about it, but I have to think about my career and not about him. I have to play, that’s the most important thing for a player.”
