That will be the final Serie A game of 2014 and the Aquile are currently in joint fourth place with Sampdoria and Genoa, but Napoli have already played.

“We must be concentrated only on the game and be ready to climb back up the standings,” said Coach Pioli in a Press conference.

“The reality of the table shows that so far Lazio have been superior to Inter, even if we only picked up three points from the last four rounds.

“We’re not even halfway through the season and deserve to be in our current position. It would be great to spend Christmas knowing we’re third in the table. To do that, tomorrow we must take the initiative and seek the victory at San Siro.”

Injuries continue to rule out Antonio Candreva, Lucas Biglia, Ederson, Bruno Pereirinha, Michael Ciani, Santiago Gentiletti and Braafheid, while it remains to be seen who will start between Filip Djordjevic and Miroslav Klose.

“I have two great centre-forwards and I choose each week who will start. We’ll do like many teams over the January transfer window, whittling down the squad and finding more alternatives for injury problems.

“We need to work as a team and move together, playing a very efficient and simple style of football. Lately the side has been more intelligent and sharp in its choice of passing. We won’t be satisfied until we can do all the good things with consistency.”
