Stefano Pioli told Lazio they “need to act like a real team” against Genoa on Sunday.

“All the teams who work hard to be at their best can reach their full potential. We are working day by day because we need to act like a real team as soon as possible,” the Coach said in his Press conference.

“We know how good Genoa are and the talent of their tactician, but must always look first and foremost to ourselves.

“On this journey we find ourselves on, I believe we are on the right track. Every game is a test for us this and that will be the case all season long.

“We must first and foremost put our identity on to the field, trying to limit the movements of our opponents by keeping the side tight and playing a high line.”

Pioli confirmed that for the moment we will see either Miroslav Klose or Filip Djordjevic, but not both.

“I want to make the most of their characteristics. They can co-exist, but at this moment need to pick whoever is most ready. We won’t rule anything out, but must find the right balance.”
