Lazio Coach Stefano Pioli concedes Juventus “made the most of our error” to win the Coppa Italia quarter-final.
Stephan Lichtsteiner scored the only goal on the rebound from a Simone Zaza effort that hit the upright.
“It’s true we didn’t create many chances, so when you get them against Juventus, you have to take them. Instead, Juventus made the most of our error,” he told Rai Sport.

“We struggled in attack earlier this season, but have scored on average two per game in recent weeks, so those issues have been resolved.
“My players worked hard throughout and gave their all, but in these tight games you need a moment of individual skill to break the deadlock.
“Bisevac had a strong debut and I am sure he’s a player who can give us a hand in future.
“Tonight we lost an objective. Our target is to get into Europe for next season and we are a little behind in Serie A, even if we still have a chance of getting into the top five at the end.
“I have little to reproach my team for tonight. We knew you could not afford a single distraction against Juventus, but we left Zaza too much room to pick his spot and then didn’t close down Lichtsteiner.
“We still have the Europa League and Serie A, so the chances to prove we are a competitive side. I think we proved again that we are a team who can have our say. Right now Juventus have the best form in Italy and one of the best in Europe.
“Mauricio has a muscular problem and hopefully he stopped in time. Biglia has a nasty blow to his ankle and is going for tests tonight.”
Pioli was also asked about last night’s row between Maurizio Sarri and Roberto Mancini.
“I’ve had arguments on the touchline with colleagues in moments of tension. I admire both Coaches, I know they are both great professionals and hope they can clear things up. I think you cannot judge unless you are in that situation.”
Finally, there were questions over whether Felipe Anderson would go to Manchester United or end the campaign at Lazio.
“Any answer I give will be interpreted. All I know is the club has not told me anything, Felipe Anderson is working to find his best form. There’s no news, but I coach the squad and do not control transfers.”
