Stefano Pioli claims “it’s normal” that Inter fans can expect signings this month as he and the club’s owners “are on the same page”.

Inter are tipped to be among the busiest Italian clubs in the January window, with Suning Group now settled into their ownership of the Nerazzurri, and Pioli is happy with how their relationship is developing.

Inter are tipped to be among the busiest Italian clubs in the January window, with Suning Group now settled into their ownership of the Nerazzurri, and Pioli is happy with how their relationship is developing.

“We’ve worked well in Spain,” he told Premium Sport ahead of Sunday’s game against Udinese in Serie A.

“We’re returning to play after a long break. Udinese have only lost to Napoli at home of late, so we’ll have to suffer, give our best and fight for every ball to win.

“There are always risks after a break, so we have to give everything on the pitch.

“The meeting in Nanjing [China] with the owners? It was good, we’re improving our knowledge of one another, our relationship…

“Our communication is quicker and, along with sporting director, we also talked about the January market.

“Icardi said he was convinced that he could win cups and titles with Inter? Yes.

“The owners are very ambitious and want to do very well, they have great potential and came here with [Icardi’s] objective.

“They’re giving us great support and backing, we all feel very close and very strong now and Inter want to do well.

“The club and I are on the same page regarding players going out. As far as the market goes, we’re just at the start and we’ll try to develop it in the direction we want.

“Can I expect some presents? It’s normal that we can incorporate another player and we hope he arrives.”
