Pioli is one of numerous tacticians who have been linked with the Azzurri bench given the belief that Cesare Prandelli will leave the post after World Cup 2014.
“I’ve been listening very carefully,” he told Sky Sport Italia when asked about the speculation that he could be a contender.
“To be taken into consideration for a prestigious assignment can only please me. I would feel good enough for the role.
“However, with regard to my medium and long-term future, I have other objectives. Right now I’m concentrating on my professional growth and work with Bologna.”
Pioli is a 47-year-old who has been at the Stadio Dall’Ara since October 2011. He’s also bossed the likes of Parma, Sassuolo” data-scaytid=”11″>Sassuolo, Chievo and Palermo during his career.
