Stefano Pioli is “happy, proud and fired-up” to take ‘his’ Inter “back to where we deserve to be”.

The Coach was officially confirmed as Frank de Boer’s replacement earlier this week, and has given his first interview to Inter Channel.

“Yes, we could say this is my Inter,” Pioli smiled.

“I’m very happy, proud and fired-up to start this new adventure in the best way. Now I’ll have to become familiar with the environment and everyone who works here.

“The players will be available, we expect quality work – we’re Inter, and we have the quality to do well.

Bologna-Inter was my first game as a kid, my family were all Inter fans and I grew up with songs dedicated to Beccalossi and Pasinato.

“My work has taken me elsewhere, but that faith has always remained. All I can say to the Inter fans is that I know the passion and the glory of this club.

“We’ll do everything to play nice and, above all, winning football.

“At the moment Inter is not in the position we should be, and all of our concentration and efforts will go toward taking this club back to where we deserve to be.”
