Things are continuing to grow increasingly tense in Liguria as fans express their anger over the state of things at Sampdoria, leaving a pig’s head outside the club’s headquarters.

The Blucerchiati are looking for a new owner after eight years of being owned by Massimo Ferrero, who stepped down as club president in December 2021 after being arrested for charges unrelated to Sampdoria.

Ferrero recently revealed that he’s been sent four bullets over the last three years and Sampdoria fans have been left frustrated by the slow progress of the club’s sale, something which Ferrero wants to personally benefit from.

Calciomercato.com reports that a severed pig’s head was found in a cardboard box in front of Sampdoria’s headquarters today, with a message addressed to Ferrero and Antonio Romei stating: “The next heads will be yours.”

Tensions are high in the Ligurian capital; over the last few weeks, a number of anonymous letters have been sent to Sampdoria’s headquarters. One included a bullet addressed to Ferrero and former president Edoardo Garrone for selling the club to him, and another apologised for the previous letter.
