Fiorentina have lost German Pezzella for three weeks after he underwent successful surgery on a cheekbone fracture yesterday.
Pezzella fractured his cheekbone and had to be replaced after only four minutes during Fiorentina’s 1-0 defeat to Verona last weekend.
The club has since announced the injury required surgery and and that it went as planned.
He is now expected to be out for three weeks, meaning he will miss League matches against Lecce, Torino and Inter, plus the Coppa Italia tie with Cittadella next week.
