“Petkovic is under contract with us and he is a good guy,” Lotito stated. “I don’t think he’s unhappy at Lazio and I don’t see why he should leave.
“I’d like to discourage people to court players and Coaches who are under contract as that doesn’t represent the values of sport.”
The 49-year-old, born in Sarajevo, is understood to have attracted the attention of German club Borussia Dortmund should they make a change in the summer.
