The Sion tactician was already at Formello on Thursday and remained there for a second consecutive day.
He was being driven out of the camp for a meal by director of sport Igli Tare when he rolled down the window and said: “I’m happy!” to waiting journalists and fans.
The club has still not formally announced Petkovic as the new Coach after Edy Reja opted to walk away, but he is expected to hold a presentation press conference on Monday.
It is also reported that Petkovic has started bringing his staff to the Formello ground, as physio Paolo Rongoni was spotted there this evening.
