Sergio Pellissier and Rolando Maran assured the Chievo striker “is not finished” after his brace to beat Cesena.

The 35-year-old forward came off the bench and got his first two goals of the season in a 2-1 victory.

“Pellissier gave a notable contribution, as he came on and scored twice,” smiled Coach Maran on Rai Sport.

“The team had also done well in the first half, but I’m happy for Sergio, as he deserved it after a difficult period. This victory was hard-fought and gives us confidence.”

Pellissier had a few bones to pick with critics, fans and ex-Coach Eugenio Corini after his match-winning double.

“I proved that I am not finished. I want to continue giving everything for these club colours, helping these lads and this club to survive yet again.

“I can finally go home happy tonight aware that I have been able to give my contribution.”
