Pellegrino, who was brought in with six games of the season remaining and is expected to stay on as Coach, has looked ahead to next year’s challenge.

“We will face a difficult championship,” the former midfielder has told Radio Cuore this week.

“Last year we did not function at a psychological level. No-one will give us anything and we will not have an easy time.

“I want to see a team that is determined to fight, to earn every inch of the field. We need the right mindset and I want to see this determination in every game right from the first encounter.

“Will I return? I will probably see you at the beginning of July.”
