Maurizio Pellegrino has claimed that he will have ‘failed’ if Catania are relegated from Serie A this season.

The Sicilian side play Sampdoria tomorrow, but even with a win, would be rooted to the bottom of the table with 23 points.

The Coach though, is adamant that his men can survive, and will look to start their survival tomorrow.

“I feel a part of this club and in the event of relegation, I would be the first to say that we failed,” he told a Press conference.

“I made the choice to join this club, and only at the end of the season will I speak about my future.

“Now however, it would be foolish to talk about relegation. We have to go all-out for the win, even though we know it’s going to be a risk.

“We want three points, and that’s the only way we can stay in this division.

“We’re all aware that tomorrow is going to be a real challenge for us, but we’re professionals and we’ll behave as such.”
