Conte has already announced he’ll be leaving the Nazionale after Euro 2016 and is widely expected to take over at Chelsea.

“The Coach has the qualities to do well in any tournament. If he does choose to come to the Premier League then he’ll be very welcome,” the Southampton striker told Rai Sport.

“It’s a tough League, but I am convinced Conte will do well. The English Press is really hard when it comes to gossip, but on that score I don’t think the Coach has anything to worry about.

“When it comes to talking about football, I think Italian media might be tougher, but it’s only to be expected in the sport.”

What advice does Pellè have for Conte when coming to Stamford Bridge?

“I advise him to be himself, as he is a winner and changing culture or League won’t modify his attitude. He just needs to change his language! So I advise him to study English.

“Claudio Ranieri is currently top of the Premier League with Leicester City, confirming Italy has so many excellent Coaches. I am therefore not worried and am confident Italy’s next Coach will do very well, whoever he is.”

The Southampton striker is a regular in the Azzurri under Conte and he confessed they do occasionally chat in local dialect, as they are both from the Salento area.

“It’s a great honour for me and my family, making up for all the sacrifices I made as a child and I’m very happy to be part of this squad,” he told Rai Sport.

“The Coach said this is not a selection of players, but a team, and that is important because we come here to prove on the field that we have the right ideas.

“It really helps players if there are some clear ideas and concepts. We don’t see many of our international teammates for many months, so if we have shared concepts to work on, we understand each other much quicker.”
