Verona President Maurizio Setti assures Coach Fabio Pecchia won’t be sacked – “he turned down Newcastle United to come here”.

The Butei are currently 19th in Serie A, five points from safety, and have lost four of their last five matches.

That has led some fans to call for Pecchia’s head, but the President says he won’t be making a change on the bench.

“I won’t sack Pecchia because I have a head,” Setti said, as reported in this morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport.
