Ottavio Bianchi, the Coach who won the Scudetto with Napoli in 1987, believes “this could be the year” they win the title again.
The Partenopei have only won Serie A twice, the last of which came in 1990, but they currently lead Juventus by one point with 14 games to go.
“This could be the year, thanks to the great numbers [Coach Maurizio] Sarri’s team are putting up,” Bianchi explained to Corriere dello Sport.

“This could be the year, thanks to the great numbers [Coach Maurizio] Sarri’s team are putting up,” Bianchi explained to Corriere dello Sport.
“He’s very good and it’s a pleasure to see his team in action, they play from memory. When one has the ball and the others move, it’s all another song.
“This year they’re playing to win the Scudetto and when you get that consistency the Scudetto is no longer a fantasy.
“The Europa League doesn’t count right now compared to the league, if a player gets injured there’s no time to recover because you’re playing every three days.
“Juventus are the only team used to winning though, they’re the only one who are of a European level, they’re used to winning and have a competitive team.”
Bianchi also spoke about his own life, as well as reflecting on the Scudetto he won.
“I don’t have any trophies or shirts at home. I only watch matches on TV, I don’t like the atmosphere in certain stadiums and I can’t stand the insults.
“When I was Napoli Coach they called me Ottavio the Bear or the Taciturn One but I’m not like that.
“I lived in complete isolation in Naples, but that was my choice, to avoid being crushed [by the expectation].
“I was a player, a Coach and a director at Napoli, in no other part of the world would I have encountered the culture and intelligence I found in that city.”
