Genoa striker Leonardo Pavoletti confirms he turned down “twice the money” to stay with the Grifone.

Napoli made two bids for the 27-year-old, while Lazio were also thought to be interested before their capture of Ciro Immobile.

“My choice was one of the heart,” Pavoletti explained to Premium Sport.

“From the first minute I was good at Genoa, I wanted to spend another year with this wonderful team. You have to feel good to go and to stay.

“This time my heart won.
