Corinthians midfielder Paulinho has again hinted that a move to Inter this summer is unlikely to happen, but he concludes cryptically.

The 23-year-old was recently linked with a €8m move to the Nerazzurri during this transfer market, with initial reports suggesting that the deal was even close to completion.

However, following on from his first denial of the deal and Corinthians’ declaration that they see him staying with them, Paulinho has again reflected that a move to Inter is distant.

“Corinthians are doing everything to keep me and I want to stay,” reflected the midfielder to FCInterNews.it.

“I hope that the situation is concluded soon, because I want to play without distractions.

“Inter? There was nothing in it, they only spoke to my agents.”

Even so, the player still left the possibility out there that a move, somewhere, might still be open.

“I want to reward the determination of Corinthians, but what matters is that I play, no matter where that may be.”
