“In 2009 things were not going well,” Pasqual admitted to reporters. “I wasn’t playing, the Coach didn’t see me and I was often in the stands.
“But the club convinced me to stay, the director Corvino did everything to keep hold of me.
“Prandelli? My relationship with the boss was a rollercoaster. Great peaks when things were good and great lows. At times we didn’t get on.
“Though I do acknowledge I was able to change his mind. He called me back into the Nazionale and gave me new confidence.”
