Lazio midfielder Marco Parolo will miss this weekend’s Torino game, the club’s doctor has confirmed.

The Italian international had to be replaced by Jordan Lukaku after just 19 minutes of the Sampdoria game at the weekend, and he won’t be fit to face the Granata.

“We’re in the final sprint, so we need to be very careful to keep all the players in the best condition until the end of the season,” Fabio Rodia told Lazio Style Radio.

“Parolo reported a strain to his right thigh after a challenge in Sunday’s home game against Sampdoria.

“Today the player has undergone the necessary tests that confirmed this diagnosis, the midfielder has already started a specific recovery programme and next week he’ll be subjected to new tests to establish a recovery time.

“We need to see how the player responds to treatment.”
