Italy and Lazio midfielder Marco Parolo told future players that “the word of the Coach is the law.”

Parolo and Riccardo Montolivo met with a group of children for a special Q&A session after training this afternoon.

“You have to show the Coach the utmost respect, because it’s his job to keep 22 people all in agreement and working in the same direction,” said Parolo.

“That is a very difficult job and therefore you need to make his work easier. The word of the Coach is the law.”

The Lazio man also commented on his long road to the top of Italian football.

“The most difficult years for me were in Serie C. I didn’t have much playing time and it was frustrating, but I must admit many people encouraged me and contributed to making me stronger. I found a side of my personality that I didn’t know was there.”
