Confusion surrounds this weekend's fixtures as Parma’s Mayor, Federico Pizzarotti refuses to confirm Parma-Udinese has been cancelled.

Reports suggested that the game between the Ducali and the Zebrette had been cancelled with Udinese stating they’d been told it was off, amid reports Parma’s mayor wouldn’t allow the game to go ahead.

“I'm not confirming that the game is cancelled,” Pizzarotti said to RadioParma.

“When we'll have some direct information we'll say so, for now I can't confirm anything.

“We're working to understand and communicate precisely what's going to happen.

“An official statement will be released in the space of one or two hours.

“I was at the meeting with the FIGC and the AIC [the Footballers' Union] at Collecchio, and what I felt was a great sense of uncertainty.

“These are not simple circumstances, but we'll do our best to save the club, which is a symbol of the city.”
