Parma have rejected the notion that they could sign Amauri from Juventus for the second January running.

Amauri, now 31, joined the Tardini outfit on a six-month loan deal at the start of this year where he responded with seven goals in 11 Serie A games.

The Brazilian-born Italian international, contracted to Juve until June 2012, is again available for transfer after not playing a single-minute this term for the Old Lady.

Parma, amongst other clubs, have been associated but Tardini chief Tommaso Ghirardi insists he won’t arrive next month.

“He is a player who can’t be questioned,” Ghirardi told Sky Sport Italia. “He left an indelible memory here.

“However, there are not the conditions in place to sign him this season.

“We invested a lot in Sergio Floccari over the summer and we’ve only been able to take advantage of him for two or three games because of injuries.

“However, we are well covered in attack with Graziano Pelle, Jonathan Biabiany and Sebastian Giovinco.”

Amauri has also been paired with a New Year switch to Tottenham and Genoa in recent weeks.
