Mayor Federico Pizzarotti says he hopes that Sunday’s draw with Atalanta marks Giampietro Manenti’s last home match as Parma President.

The Ducali fulfilled their fixture this weekend, for the first time in two weeks, but still face a bankruptcy hearing on March 19.

“The reception for Manenti and the old leadership is symptomatic of the fact we have to start a new chapter,” Pizzarotti told journalists after the game.

“Let’s wait for the 19th, there is continued interest from a lot of people, we need to begin a different project.

“I hope this was the last home game of this Presidency. The stadium remains available to Parma, but with different representatives.

“The stadium belongs to our city.”
