Parma announced they will take their appeal to the European Court of Human Rights after their spot was handed to Torino.

The Ducali had qualified for the Europa League preliminary round, but were denied a UEFA licence by the FIGC due to late payment of taxes.

Instead, the position was handed to the next team down in the Serie A table, namely Torino.

Parma attempted legal action in several different suits, but the CAS ruled this week it had “no jurisdiction” over the issue.

Now the club has released a statement confirming it will take its case to the European Court of Human Rights.

There have been reports Parma could be further penalised for late payment of taxes, resulting in one point being docked from their tally.
