There are mixed reports on Ishak Belfodil, as some Italian media suggest Parma blocked his move from Inter to West Ham.

It had been said earlier this evening that a deal was in place for the Hammers to take Belfodil on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

However, Sport Mediaset now claim Parma have blocked that aspect of the agreement, as they will only accept a loan switch.

Algerian international striker Belfodil is co-owned by Parma, as Inter bought half his contract in July 2013 for €7.5m plus the loan of Antonio Cassano.

He has made only eight Serie A appearances this season, seven of them as a substitute, plus two in the Coppa Italia.

Belfodil demanded more playing time ahead of the World Cup, but it seems Parma are not prepared to release him permanently, even if Inter are.

Other clubs willing to take the 21-year-old on a six-month loan are Bologna and Sassuolo.
