The Gialloblu have failed to play their last two Serie A games due to their worsening financial crisis, but team meetings with the Italian Football President Carlo Tavecchio and then President of the Footballers' Union Damiano Tommasi took place today to prevent that from happening again.

Over the course of the latter meeting, the players voted on whether to play on Sunday or not. The decision, while not unanimous, went in favour of the game taking place.

The club confirmed this on their Twitter profile, writing: “Parma-Atalanta, on Sunday at 15:00, we're playing.”
