“We expect what Dybala is capable of. He’s a great champion, Juve’s Number 10, so we just expect him to play well and dedicate himself to the cause, the way he has always done over the years,” the director of sport told Sky Sport Italia.
“It feels like Buffon never left, to be honest. He’s probably the best goalkeeper in the history of football, but also a genuinely nice person who has given so much to Juventus and to me personally.”
Juve fumbled a 2-0 lead away to Atletico Madrid midweek, opening their Champions League campaign with a 2-2 draw.
“The Champions League is like that, we saw last season some games were just crazy. We are accustomed to seeing games change from one moment to the next and embrace the ever-changing emotions of the tournament.”
Mandzukic is not in the Juventus squad again today, as his agents are still negotiating for a potential transfer to Al-Rayyan.
“The situation is stalled a little, we have time until September 30 for the Qatar transfer window to close and then we’ll see.”
