The Old Lady had their preparations for the Derby della Mole disrupted by a coronavirus controversy, but the sporting director said the most important thing is to approach the game with ‘the right spirit’.

“We expect a good game today, then of course football matches can also be decided by incidents,” Paratici told DAZN.

“The important thing is to play well, with the right spirit, and then we’ll aim to win it too.”

Weston McKennie, Paulo Dybala and Arthur Melo are left out after the three players violated the COVID-19 protocol on Wednesday.

“Andrea Pirlo spoke about this in the press conference. They made a mistake, they were punished, then the coach will decide – always with the support of the club – what else to do about it.

“I wouldn’t start thinking about the summer. We have to take it one game at a time, we have three over the next week, and then we’ll see.

“After that, of course every club makes its considerations during a season and evaluates what to do going forward.”
